WARDOGS graphics settings: what actually helps with performance?

Has anyone figured out a sensible way to troubleshoot performance in WARDOGS?

I'm not asking for some magical setting that gives everyone 200 FPS. My PC is fine in other games, but WARDOGS occasionally feels rough.

Should I start by lowering graphics settings, checking background programs, or looking at temperatures?

Would also be useful to know which settings are worth changing one at a time instead of randomly turning everything down.

Change one thing at a time. Otherwise you have no clue what actually helped.

Check whether the problem is low FPS or actual stuttering first. They can feel similar but the troubleshooting isn't necessarily the same.

Also check temperatures. A PC can run other games fine and still behave differently under another workload.

Ngl, the number of people who recommend turning every setting to low without asking what hardware someone has is hilarious.

OP here. Good point about distinguishing stuttering from low FPS. I'll start with monitoring and a couple of changes rather than destroying my settings menu.
