WARDOGS update broke something? How do you troubleshoot after a patch?

Game was behaving normally for me before the latest update, and now I'm getting occasional crashes.

Not sure whether the update caused it or whether something else changed on my system.

What do you usually check first after a patch? Drivers? Game files? Background applications?

I don't want to reinstall the entire game if there's a simpler way to narrow it down.

Verify the game files if your launcher supports it. That's a reasonable first step before reinstalling everything.

Check the official patch notes too. Sometimes the issue is already acknowledged.

Don't update five different drivers and change every setting at once. If it gets fixed, you'll never know why.

Could also be a background program. I had a crash in another game caused by something completely unrelated running in the background.

OP here. I'll try the file verification and check the patch notes first. Reinstalling can wait.
